We run a number of social groups within communities throughout Perth and Kinross. Groups are supported by staff and volunteers. You can take part in activities, find out about your local community and meet a great bunch of people.

We have lots of events planned during December & January. Some will be held at the Sensory Hub and others are within the community. We are keen to hear from you – what activities would you like us to look at offering? Please ensure you book onto activities where it does advise booking as places are limited.
December
VisionPK Christmas Party:
Date: Tuesday 9th December Time: 1.00pm-3.00pm
Location: VisionPK, 17-19 George Street
Details: Join us for a Christmas party, live music, food and refreshments, Christmas quiz, tombola and stalls. We will also be drawing our Christmas raffle. Please contact us to book your space.
Drumtastic:
Date: Wednesday 3rd, 10th and 17th December Time: 1.15-2.30pm

Swimming / Aqua Fit Group:
Dates: Jan TBC Tuesdays Time: 11.00am-12.00pm
Location: Perth Leisure Pool
Accessible swimming for all levels. Join us for steady lengths or confidence building in the water. Please book onto these sessions by calling VisionPK – there is a charge for the swimming, please contact us for more information.
Social Group with guest speaker (Life in the 40’s)
Date: Tuesday 13th January Time: 1.15-2.30pm

Details: Join our new talk series, previous sessions have included history, poetry, and other interesting topics.
Chairtastic
Date: Wednesday 14th, 21st and Thursday 29th January Time: 1.15-2.30pm

Details: Gentle, chair-based movement to music using pompoms, hoops, scarves, and more. Fun, upbeat and suitable for everyone.
Lived Experience Group
Date: Tuesday 20th January Time: 1.30 – 3.00pm

Details: Join the lived experience group to share your views and help shape the services and support.
Lip Reading Group
We held a successful lip-reading taster session in November and we will be running two 10-week blocks in 2026. These sessions will help you to develop lip-reading skills and gain confidence in conversation.
First Block: January 15th to March 19th Thursdays from 10am – 12 Noon
Second Block: April 23rd to June 25th Thursdays from 10am – 12 Noon

Blairgowrie
In Blairgowrie we have a group which has been running for years thanks to the commitment of a wonderful team of volunteers.
Our Blairgowrie group is open to anyone in the community who has sight loss. The volunteer team put together a programme of activities and deliver sessions once a month.
The group has occasional guest speakers, do quizzes, chair exercise and have outings to places of interest or to have lunch as a group.
The group meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 10.30am to 12noon, in Blairgowrie Parish Church Hall, James Street, PH10 6EZ.
