VisionPK is the charity for people with a sensory impairment living in Perth and Kinross – whether you are blind, partially sighted, hard of hearing or D/deaf, we are here to help you continue living an independent life.
Whether you’re looking for information about your visual impairment or hearing loss, want to talk through your worries or concerns, or get answers to your burning questions – we are here to help you. We also offer personal assessments, working with you to identify your goals, supporting you to achieve them and live life on your own terms.
We also offer information and guidance to families, friends, professionals and others with an interest in sensory impairment.
We work in partnership with RNID to deliver our hearing loss services.
As well as rehabilitation services, we also offer a range of social activities (currently suspended during Covid), a telephone befriending service (Link up), free sensory impairment awareness raising, advice and access to specialist equipment.
In the year ahead (21/22) we have some exciting plans to develop new, community based services, following feedback gathered during the last 12 months.
As a local, independent charity, we rely on local support to fund our vital services – over 60% of our funds last year came from fundraising, legacies and donations. All money raised stays in Perth and Kinross to benefit local people with a sensory impairment.
When you get in touch with us, you can expect us to behave in line with our values of trust, respect, empathy and inclusion, with a focus on encouraging your continuing independence, offering choice and promoting quality.
