VisionPK provides local groups for visual impairments and hearing loss, giving them the opportunity to meet others, share experiences, socialise and take part in activities.

Our new Reconnect Project is funded by the National Lottery to develop social groups in communities for people with a visual impairment.

Volunteers can support groups: planning, escorting participants, preparing and serving refreshments, welcoming new members, helping organise and facilitate activities, making sure participants can enjoy activities safely and offering assistance where needed.

Location

We will be developing groups in various communities of Perth and Kinross

Time Commitment

Our group meetings can be 2 hours every month or fortnight, depending on the group, with some time given to planning between meetings.

  • Warm, friendly and patient approach
  • Able to put people at ease
  • Flexible and committed
  • Follow policies and procedures
  • Minimum age: 16
  • Join Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme
