Vacancy: Fundraising Manager

£31,052 – £34,504 pa

Hours: Full time (34.5 hours)
Contract: Permanent

This is a great opportunity to use your fundraising knowledge and experience to help fundin and develop VisionPK’s services and its new Sensory Hub on Perth High Street – all benefiting local people who are blind or partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing.

We support around 1,200 people with sensory loss, and know that thousands more could benefit, so getting our message out to people we could help, their friends and families is vital and our fundraising plays an important role in this.  Voluntary income funds much of our work, mainly volunteering and group activities, outreach work in the more rural areas and information provision.  Our hearing loss support and visual impairment rehabilitation work is funded through a contract with Perth and Kinross Council.

As a small team of eleven, we have big ambitions to meet the needs of the growing numbers of people with a sensory impairment.  As a long-established charity we are re-positioning ourselves to support this ambition, with our move to Perth High Street and the development of a Sensory Hub.  This will displaya range of equipment to help people stay independent, all within a series of open plan ‘rooms’ which reflect the home environment (a sort of sensory Ikea!).

Our new Fundraising Manager will build on the good work of their predecessor over the past three years.  Your will gain experience of fundraising for our capital development project, as well as the ongoing funding needed for services.  You will be supported by an experienced Chief Executive and be part of a small, three-strong management team – so this is also a great opportunity for your personal development.

If you are an experienced, successful fundraiser looking for a new challenge, this role could be your first step towards establishing and developing a new team in Perth and Kinross.  You will also need to be enthusiastic, motivational and self motivated, with excellent people and communication skills, alongside the ability to plan, monitor budgets and use your creative skills in a constructive way.

If you have read the job description and person specification and have any further informal enquiries, please call Gwenn McCreath, Chief Executive on 01738 626969 or email her at:

Please let us know if you require information in any alternative formats.

Interview date: Week beginning 5 September 2022

Completed applications should be sent, along with a completed Equalities Monitoring form, to, or by post to VisionPK, 174 High Street, Perth, PH1 5UH, by the closing date.
